AG Neuromodulation psychischer Erkrankungen

Ziel der Arbeitsgruppe ist es, die Effektivität neuromodulatorischer Therapien zur Behandlung von psychischen Erkrankungen zu erforschen und zu optimieren. Im Fokus stehen die tiefe Hirnstimulation und die transkranielle Magnetstimulation. Wir beschäftigen uns mit den Veränderungen neuronaler Netzwerke bei dem Tourette-Syndrom und der Zwangsstörung. Zusätzlich führen wir grundlagenwissenschaftliche Studien durch, um neue Erkenntnisse über unser Gehirn und unser Verhalten im gesunden als auch im erkrankten Zustand zu gewinnen. Hierzu nutzen wir neben den genannten neuromodulatorischen Techniken auch elektrophysiologische und bildgebende Verfahren.
